Lejan, a village in the Lori region of Armenia, on the banks of the Lejanjur River
The church of Karmir Kiraki Vank (St. Red Sunday Church), built in the 5th century and rebuilt in 1892, is located in the village of Lejan. On the road leading to the barns is b.c mausoleum of the 4th-3rd millennia. There is a memorial fountain in the village and a monument dedicated to the victims of World War II.
The village is located at an altitude of 1460-1475 m above sea level, the distance from the regional center Vanadzor is 32 km north, 8 km east of Stepanavan town. The village was formed around 1850s. The ancestors migrated from different provinces of Western Armenia, Kars region.
